Freedman, DDS - Philadelphia & Warminster PADr. Freedman, born and raised in Philadelphia, completed his periodontal training at Temple University School of Dentistry, where he also previously earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree (Magna Cum Laude) at Albright College.

Dr. Freedman is a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology, certified in Periodontics and Dental Implant Surgery.

At his graduation from Dental School, he received numerous awards and was elected to numerous honor societies, including Omicron Kappa Upsilon Honorary Dental Society. Dr. Freedman taught at Temple Dental School for over 20 years, where he attained the rank of Clinical Professor of Periodontology.

Dr. Freedman has a strong interest in periodontal and dental implantology research and has published fifteen research papers in the Journal of Periodontology and The International Journal of Periodontics and Restorative Dentistry. He also serves on the Editorial Board of the Journal of Periodontology, as well as several other Committees for the American Academy of Periodontology and the Pennsylvania Association of Periodontists.

Since 2014, Dr. Freedman has served as an examiner for the American Board of Periodontology, administering oral examinations to prospective candidates for Board certification.

Dr. Freedman is a member of the American Academy of Periodontology, the Academy of Osseointegration, Alpha Omega Dental Fraternity, the Pennsylvania Association of Periodontists, the Philadelphia County Dental Society, the Montgomery-Bucks County Dental Society, the Pennsylvania Dental Association, and the Delaware Valley Academy of Osseointegration.

Dr. Freedman enjoys spending his free time with his wife and family, including his five grandchildren. He also enjoys the pursuit of his other interests including golf, travel, reading, and taking continuing education courses in both professional and many other non-dental related subjects.

Dr. Freedman will be retiring at the end of 2019, although he remains active with Periodontal Services, Ltd.
